The Present

“Because I don’t live in either my past or my future. I’m interested only in the present.  If you can concentrate always on the present, you’ll be a happy man. You’ll see that there is life in the desert, that there are stars in the heavens, and that tribesmen fight because they are part of the human race. Life will be a party for you, a grand festival, because life is the moment we’re living right now.” Spoken by the Camel Driver: pp.88-89, Coelho, P. The Alchemist; Harper Collins 1999.

How many of us can truly say, with hand on heart that we are living in this moment, right now? I for one have to admit too many times dwelling in or on the past, and pondering on my tomorrows. Yet, the old adage says that ‘tomorrow never comes’  and that would be true, as there is only ever today.

Numerous Gurus, Sages, Teachers and Guides have pointed out that the point of power is now, and they are absolutely right. At every moment, it is this moment that we have. This moment therefore is the most precious  thing as it is where we are right now.

May your moments always be precious! May your moments be many, and may you find your treasure within those moments.

Blessed be!

  1. Liola, indeed living in the moment is so important in order to find joy. However, people such as myself struggle daily to get there due to chronic back pain and the anxiety that comes from it. I always keep in mind that I have to numb the pain to be present and see all of God’s blessings. Also, I want to be at my highest authentic self to enjoy today’s blessings and spread positivity instead of negativity.

A lot of people refuse to practice selflove in order to reach the present. I’ve written many times on this matter and my latest book entails so many things we must do to rid the negative toxicity in our lives.

Great post and blessings my dear.

Here’s the link to my books

Btw, I do love the Alchemist and received one of the greatest compliments saying that my inspirational books are in line with Mr. Coelho and A course in miracles… I’m humbled but I know we are all children of God with mighty gifts.

    Xoxo 😁💕🙏

    • Thank you so much Emma for your comments here! I always appreciate you popping by! Self-love is necessary! it is only by learning to love ourselves that we can truly love others. Most or rather many feel that self-love is indulgent. Let’s hope that 2020 is a year where we can rid ourselves of our toxic overload! On the issue of your chronic back pain and anxiety, I would like to recommend a therapy called Pranic Healing. It is a totally non-invasive therapy that works with the energy field/aura of the individual. I think a course of Pranic Healing sessions could really help your pain and anxiety. Do some research and check out Pranic Healing. It is a growing effective, alternative to traditional medicine. It is growing in the United States, the Uk, Ireland and many other parts of the World, and has been around in India for a truly long time. Anyway, do a bit of research, when you get time under the term Pranic Healing, and check out Stephen Co and Master Choa Cok Sui. It really is quite something. I will leave it up to you but think you may find it helpful. Wishing you Peace and Joy over the Christmas Season! Blessed be!
