It’s hard to believe we are already over halfway through February 2021. How did that happen? It seems like only yesterday we were heralding in the New Year, only too pleased to put 2020 well and truly behind us. I am sure I am not alone in thinking that. It’s been a while since I updated this page, as the previous editorial post was, I note at New Year. It’s high time I got myself into gear and just bring everything up to date. So, what has been happening in my World? Well, my daughter, my husband and myself all contracted Covid19. We got through it, as unpleasant and debilitating as it was at the time! We still have a few lingering connected issues but we are among the lucky ones who did not end up in hospital fighting for our lives. Thank goodness we have our NHS. They have worked tirelessly from the beginning! For anyone out there who has this vile (for it is vile for many) virus, I truly send you loving light and positive healing energy to get through it! For those of you who have sadly lost any one close to you, I am so sincerely sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what you must be going though, and am sure I do not come anywhere close. My prayers and thoughts are with you!
We have sadly seen the passing of Sir Captain Tom recently but what an amazing human being he was! A Beacon of light if ever there was one! A soldier to the end! A real life example of what it is to be a real life hero! I have no words that come close to what he taught us all, as he walked to raise money for our NHS. He showed us that we have to keep placing one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward, and to just keep going in the face of adversity. Truly astounding! Thank you so much Sir Captain Tom. We will never forget you!
So, what I want to say in light of all the above is that we must look forward and keep going and remain positive. There will be lighter, brighter days ahead!
In my personal world, I am currently working on a new writing project which hopefully will culminate into a book but one step at a time. It’s early days yet. I’ll update you with progress reports at a future date. I am also looking to start up my own online life coaching business and put my qualifications to good use. Sometimes we undersell the achievements we have worked/studied hard to achieve and forget that we should share our gifts and knowledge with others, otherwise what is the point?
There you have it. My update for February. I hope the rest of the month is kind to you. More importantly, be kind to yourself! Often we are our own worst critics. So, stop right there and think about how you are talking to yourself! Are you being kind to yourself? Treat yourself as you would treat a good friend and see what happens. I’ll leave you on that note for now.
Stay well, stay safe!
